WELCOME TO THE OZARK GATHER IN'

The Ozark GATHER IN’ is a unique opportunity to take intentional dedicated time to rest, explore, connect or reconnect and do it all in the beautiful Ozark mountains

during the fall. 

 

Whether you’ve spent time here before or are coming for the first time, you won’t regret it. 

 

There isn’t a rigid schedule. We’ll tune ourselves to the rhythm of nature and the group. We’ll prioritize rest and decompressing. We’ll have ample opportunity to take advantage of the best the Ozarks have to offer, including world class mountain biking, endless miles of trail to hike, clear spring lakes and streams, one of the best art museums in the world, and exceptional food and drink. All of this in a small group of select individuals (registration is limited to 10) who are coming for many of the same reasons you are. 

 

There will also be time to read, ask essential questions and to listen for ways forward. 

GATHER IN' HOST

John Ray MDiv 

John has been, at various times, a bartender, bouncer, summer camp counselor, ranch hand, real estate agent, bus driver, spin class instructor, saddle stitcher, hunting guide, junior high teacher, lifeguard and blogger. He’s also done every job there is to do in a restaurant. 

 

In addition, he has spent the last thirty-odd years serving in a wide variety of ministry and non-profit roles in the US and internationally. He also has twenty-five years of experience as a conference/retreat leader and speaker.

 

John holds a Master of Divinity with a concentration in spiritual direction and discipleship from George Fox Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He is a certified Spiritual Director and since 2008 has the lead teaching team at Grace Church of Northwest Arkansas. He and his wife Jane started Abide Collective in 2016. John’s specialty is group experiences in the great outdoors. 

 

John's a good listener and an excellent judge of fine beer and food trucks. He knows from experience the wild, persistent, unequaled, overwhelming, redemptive, loving nature of God's grace. 

 And he wants you to know it, too.
